Bird flu has been detected in chicken coops in the community of Nacham in the Jerusalem Hills in the Beit Shemesh area. Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture have been notified and ministry officials report the appropriate measures are being taken.

Officials are also reporting the particular strain detected in the community does not pose a danger to humans.
