With a U.N. vote scheduled later for today, U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer today released a public statement urging the Administration to veto this resolution:
“Yesterday I issued a statement in regards to Egypt issuing a resolution on Israel. Whether it’s Egypt, Senegal, New Zealand, Venezuela, Malaysia or any other country, the same holds true.
“The proposed resolution does not bring us any closer to the goal of a two-state solution. Peace must come from direct negotiations between the two parties.
“Since the days of ‘Zionism is racism’, the U.N. has long shown its anti-Israel bias, and the U.S. government – both Democrats and Republicans – have admirably kept the U.N. out when it comes to negotiations. That tradition should continue.
“Whatever one’s views are on settlements, anyone who cares about the future of Israel and peace in the region knows that the U.N., with its one sidedness, is exactly the wrong forum to bring about peace.
“I have spoken directly to the Administration numerous times, as recently as this morning, and in the strongest terms possible urged them to veto this resolution. I am strongly opposed to the U.N. putting pressure on Israel through one-sided resolutions. An abstention is not good enough. The Administration must veto this resolution. “

Hey Chuckie;
Too little, too late.
You’re not fooling anybody, you’re just trying to cover your end because there’s going to be backlash, and you know it.
Where’s your buddy, the slimmed- down Nadler?
You’re not believable anymore. You have proven yourself as an ineffective advocate, and allowed your party to abandon Israel.
