Sometimes it takes 2 looks to see the big picture…
Sometimes it’s obvious….
the Gemara tells us about the concept of “oiii L’rasha oiii L’shcainoi”….
We went to a Shuvu school in Petach Tikva whose playground is adjacent to another school. Just looking @ it….it seems like just 2 ordinary playgrounds…..but the big picture begins to develop as the children start to fill it……and then you look carefully ….unfortunately on the secular side aside from the obvious difference in dress….it the smiles and the general sense of happiness and contentment on one side….and then as you look on the other side you see all the kids with their coats jackets knapsack and bags…so we asked them why? And the anwser was we don’t want it to be stolen!! You don’t have this problem on your side as “Datim” dont steal from each other!!
EVEN the CHILDREN see the Values clearly missing…..
The hope is that we rub off on them and maybe even get them to come to the other side of the fence…and with generosity of specials individuals as Mr and Mrs Shimmel…..who have seen the future many years ago as the world tried to wipe us off the map…and iy”h with Hashems help..One day we will take down the fence as we will all be one…Ki ish echod….all the prodigal sons and daughters will return…vshuvu bunim l’gulah
