An NYPD Officer was struck by a vehicle in Manhattan late Tuesday night.

The incident happened at around 11:30PM at South Street and Clinton Street.

Hatzolah as well as FDNY-EMS were treating the officer.

Sources tell YWN that he is being rushed to Bellevue Hospital. He was reportedly conscious and alert, but had some significant head injuries.

It was unclear what Division in the NYPD the Officer was assigned to, although sources say he is a member of the Special Victims Squad.

An investigation was underway.
