Shabbos glasses worn by the Chazon Ish are being auctioned by Jerusalem of Gold online, with bids beginning at $2,000. The website estimates that ultimately, the glasses will sell for between $5,000-$8,000.
Also being auctioned is a pocket watch of Rav Elya Lopian ZT”L, known as the ‘Lev Eliyahu, with bids beginning at $1,900.
A dollar from the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT”L is on sale as well, with bids starting at $770.
And another interesting item is the document declaring the establishment of the Eida Chareidis, then called the Vaad Ha’ir Kehillas Ashkenazim Yerushalayim with bids beginning at $500.

the glasses in these photographs arent perfectly circular.
i thought “almost”(but never) perfectly circular glasses where made more recently to prevent reusing lenses & frames by lens & frames manufacturers.
i was unaware that they made that specific shape prior to the 1950’s.
(having searched for and requesting perfectly circular glasses to no avail)
the shape in the photos seems really similar to the newer models mimicking the old circular spectacles
You mean to say people cannot change frames and reuse nowadays?
