Tehillim is being requested for HaRav Yehuda Kelemer Shlita, the Rov at the Young Israel of West Hempstead who was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on Monday evening.

Sources tell YWN that at around 7:30PM, a vehicle struck Rav Kelemer in front of the Shul – located on Hempstead Avenue.

The vehicle fled the scene and police are investigating.

He was transported to Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, where he is undergoing surgery on Monday night.

His name for Tehillim is Yehuda ben Rivka Leah.

Rav Kelemer has served as the Rov of the Shul for more than 30 years.
