Magen David Adom announced that forty residents of the Israeli Arab municipality of Baka el-Garbiya have entered a course which will last six months towards obtaining certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT).
The court will take place in the municipality community center during the evening hours and it will be conducted in both Hebrew and Arabic. Those completing the course successfully will be certified as an EMT and some will also be qualified as ambulance drivers as well.
City officials thank MDA for the initiative which Mayor Morsi Abi-Moach feels will assist providing emergency medical care to residents in time of need.
