Heavy rainfall is expected to begin on Thursday in Yerushalayim and around the country, accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Authorities have issued flood warnings along the coast.
In southern and central areas, heavy haze was apparent during the morning hours, the result of sand storms. The rainfall is forecast to begin during the afternoon hours and begin spreading nationwide, from the Golan Heights to the northern Negev. Temperatures should also be unseasonably cold. Snowfall is predicted for Mount Hermon beginning on Thursday afternoon.
Rainfall is expected to continue on erev Shabbos throughout the country. The rainfall will be accompanied by strong winds and once again, flood warnings in the nachals of the Negev. The rainfall will diminish towards candle lighting time.
Shabbos’ forecast is partly cloudy with temperatures expected to increase somewhat. Local rainfall is possible on Shabbos morning along the coast and in the northern areas.
