MK (Likud) David Amsellem, who chairs the Knesset Internal Affairs Committee, has had enough of his dati leumi coalition partner, the Bayit Leumi party. On Wednesday, 29 Cheshvan, he launched and attack against the party and its leader, Minister Naftali Bennett, over the controversy stirring regarding the Muezzin Bill and the Regulation Bill.
Amsellem announced “If I was Prime Minister Netanyahu, I would announce that I will not enter into future coalitions with Bayit Yehudi which is engaged in petty politics and concern over seats”.
Before his explosion it was decided to postpone the votes on the Muezzin Bill and Regulation Bill after both Ministers Aryeh Deri and Gila Gamliel filed some objections.
Amsellem stated Bennett continues being a “troublemaker” simply to earn more seats and for him it is not about the issues, but “petty politics”.
The High Court deadline for the destruction of Amona is 25 December 2016. Bennett feels the Prime Minister is trying to avoid the vote on the Regulation Bill which Bayit Yehudi hopes will provide a legal loophole for Amona to avoid expulsion. Bennett has been hinting the Amona issue will lead to a coalition crisis. The Prime Minister on the other wanted to move ahead with the Muezzin Bill but Bennett would not permit it, holding it hostage until he gets his way with
the Amona issue.

The Muezzin Bill is problematic and
mostly Ill advised
However ,now that it was proposed , probably it should be backed,at least in part
1)to avoid granting a victory
and momentum to lapid and/or the Left
1)In order to hold on to/avoid losing the far/hard righ)
