11:32AM IL: [PHOTOS & VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] Talmon community spokesman Ravid Sharon explains the fire has reignited and residents have been evacuated from homes and schools. “There is significant damage to buildings at this time” he reports.
In Haifa, there are reports of persons trapped in a building on Chorev Street. Firemen are pulling people out of area homes with assistance from EMS and police units. Two persons treated for smoke inhalation have been transported to Rambam Medical Center.
In Ashkelon, a fire is reported on Histadrut Street. Fire trucks responding from Ashdod, Kiryat Gat and Sderot. [FOR EARLIER UPDATES FOLLOW BELOW]
11:11AM IL: Carmel Hospital has been alerted and is moving to emergency status, preparing to receive victims of the fire as it continues spreading in the area. Hospital spokesman Eli Dadon quotes Hospital Director Dr. Avi Goldberg announcing the emergency room stands ready to receive patients should their services be required.
Police are calling on residents of Martin Buber, Dakar, Einstein and Merkaz Chorev Streets to evacuate immediately.
Haifa area fire spokesman Uri Chibutro announces “ The fire is now described as “enormous to people and property. All available forces are being called in immediately as the fire is out of control. All area residents should evacuate their homes immediately”.
11:09AM IL: A general callout was issued a short time ago in the Binyamin Regional Council area of the Shomron as the fire that was declared ‘under control’ earlier in Talmon is once again raging, out of control.
Qualified persons able to respond have been instructed to contact the area fire commander to register as the fire has reignited in Talmon and at least two homes in the community are engulfed in flames and are in danger of collapsing. Kindergartens in the community have been evacuated.
11:05AM IL: As a preventative measure, police are evacuating people from a number of streets in the Romeima area of Haifa. In addition, residents of Dakar Street are being evacuated as well. Another blaze is reported in Haifa, near HaGiborim Bridge.
10:52AM IL: Police are evacuating residents from buildings in the Achuza and Romeima areas of Haifa as the fires continue to spread out of control.
10:24AM IL: Tens of fire apparatus are trying to prevent a large fire from speaking in northern Israel, in the Um el-Fahm Forest area.
Another fire has broken out in an open area of Haifa, which is cause for serious concern. The fire is dangerously close to the Paz Bridge, which has already been closed as has Route 22 from the Airforce Technical School at Yadin Interchange towards Haifa. At least two people have been treated for smoke inhalation. The fire is out of control and spreading, apparently now reaching the Ramat Sapir area.
In Haifa, children are being evacuated from a number of kindergartens and daycare facilities.
Israel Police are confirming another blaze, this one in Hadera, not far from the Israel Electric Company power station. There are no injuries and B”H for now, the blaze is small and it is hoped it will be brought under control before it spreads.

It is becoming increasingly apparent the blazes are the result of arson. Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) earlier that he is certain at least half of the fires are the result of arson .
