Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman speaks of the possibility of the government having to order the evacuation and destruction of Amona based on the High Court of Justice ruling. Speaking at a ceremony in the south, the senior minister on Tuesday, 14 Cheshvan called to refrain from bringing the IDF into a political matter, signaling the expulsion may occur as planned.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Lieberman arrived in southern Israel to attend the inauguration of the IDF city in the Negev. It was in his remarks at that event that Lieberman signaled the community of Amona may be removed as the court has ordered.

Lieberman explained the IDF simply follows orders as the decisions are made by the cabinet and it is possible the cabinet will have to order the expulsion at Amona.

The Prime Minister spoke about the civil war in Syria and Israel’s close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
