Jerusalem police announced terrorism has dropped by 40% in the capital despite the terror attacks that began in Tishrei 5776. Police report there were 4,647 rock-throwing attack in 2016 as compared to 2,844 in 2016.

Firebomb attack were down significantly as well, from 741 in 2015 to 432 in 2016. Police credit nationwide cyber units that monitor social media for preventing 134 attack in Yerushalayim. Police also credit their deployment of forces in key areas as well as special counter-terrorism measures that have been implemented.
