The Israeli ‘Esri’ assembly was held on Monday, 13 Cheshvan in the Tel Aviv Hilton during which Magen David Adom was recognized for its advanced command center in the category of Real Time response to emergency calls. MDA Chief Eli Bin was on hand to receive the award, crediting the advanced technology deployed by MDA for the fact that it is capable of responding to emergency calls within seconds.

MDA uses what is called GIS Real Time technology which enables the EMS organization to improve command and control in dealing with calls for assistance, contributing to cutting down time from receiving a call until an emergency vehicle is dispatched.

The GIS technology is integrated into the MDA system and has led to a breakthrough with the assistance of the Systematics Company. The system assists in positioning personnel and resources relevant to each event and shortening response time of emergency vehicles.
