During an interview on Kol Chai Radio on Sunday morning 12 Cheshvan with host Mordechai Lavi and Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, it was reported that during the predawn hours, PA (Palestinian Authority) police opened fire at a vehicle of Jews, Breslov Chassidim, which was heading towards Kever Yosef without coordinating with security officials in advance as required.

Gunfire struck the vehicle, which fled the area. B’chasdei Hashem there are no reports of fatalities or injuries. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and are being represented attorney Adi Kedar of Honenu.

Dagan called on Jews to refrain from visiting without prior coordination with authorities to avoid placing themselves and security forces in perilous danger.

Other reports referring to the same time stated that some 60 talmidei yeshiva headed to the kever, once again without coordinating in advance, and they came under attack with stones. B’chasdei Hashem no injuries were reported.
