Deputy Defense Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan announced at an assembly on Monday, 6 Cheshvan, that he has prepared protocols for Jewish tefilla on Har Habayis.
Speaking at the Doresh Tzion assembly, which encourages Jews to visit the holy site, Ben-Dahan stated “during my previous tenure as Deputy Minister of Religious Services, I prepared protocol for Jews to daven on Har Habayis. The protocol permits Jews to daven on Har Habayis and all that remains is for the Government of Israel to accept the protocol.
He added “It is inconceivable that people of all religions may enter Har Habayis and pray with the exception of Jews, at the place that is most sacred to us. Although I personally do not visit Har Habayis as a mitzvah of my rabbonim I support all those who adhere to the voice of their rabbonim and visits Har Habayis. Arrangements must be made to permit Jewish tefilla on Har Habayis, the sooner the better for all of us”.
Gedolei Yisrael over the generations and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel prohibit visiting Har Habayis.
