Residents of Amona have once again turned to the Supreme Court, this time with their response to an offer to relocate them from their present community to an area further north in the Shomron, adjacent to Yishuv Rechalim, which is closer to Tapuach Junction. They explain that from the perspective of all of the community’s residents, numbering about 42 families, a relocation offer is not one that they are willing to accept. However, residents might be interested in a different relocation venue.
The residents are express their disapproval of the state conducting talks on their behalf to the exclusion of the community representatives, stating such talks in no way represent their position.
Regarding the state’s expectation of resistance to a forced expulsion, residents wrote “There will be protest and there will be resistance to expulsion. Pushing off the date of expulsion will do nothing to change this reality”.
