With the election just one day away, and both presidential campaigns holding Election Night events in New York City, the NYPD and Secret Service are preparing a massive security operation.
The NYPD will be unveiling its security plan Monday.
The Jacob Javits Center, where Hillary Clinton’s campaign will be spending Election Night, will be on lockdown starting Tuesday. The Trump campaign will be at the New York Hilton Midtown.
It is the first time both presidential candidates will be in New York City on Election Night since 1944.
The increased security comes after the FBI and NYPD said they were assessing the credibility of a possible al-Qaeda terror plot that mentions New York, Texas and Virginia.
The NYPD had already planned to deploy special counter-terrorism forces and heavy police patrols on Election Day.
Officers will be deployed at the city’s 1,000 polling places.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said New Yorkers will see that security is tighter than normal.
“You’re going to see a lot of officers out, particularly our critical response command and strategic response group officers,” said the mayor. “You’re going to see a lot of measures taken very visibly around all of the election activity on Tuesday. Obviously all five boroughs, particularly the events will be around the candidates in Manhattan.”

How much does external security really help if the major fraud and rigging of voting machines stuffing ballots, DEAD-VOTERS-several-times and ILLEGAL immigrants, is done INTERNALLY by government employees, as has been reported?
Don’t you wonder why the government stopped making backup copies of original votes to compare since before Obama’s first election?
Very prudent, especially in trump’s case with phoney assasination attempt claim!
