The IDF Spokesman Unit announced on Sunday, 5 Cheshvan that on Monday, 6 Cheshvan, the search will once again resume for MIA soldier Guy Chever. The focused search will take place in the Golan Heights and Jordan River.
Search efforts were made during the years since his disappearance and they continue today based on intelligence information. It is hoped the focused search on Monday will yield some new information as per the whereabouts of Chever. The search will continue until Wednesday, 8 Cheshvan.
Chever disappeared on August 17, 1997. He was last seen on his base in the Golan Heights in uniform and carrying his Galil weapons. He was heading home but was not seen since.
