The Tzav 1 NGO has sent tens of thousands of WhatsApp messages to followers after amassing many complaints from soldiers in recent months pertaining to unacceptable level of kashrus in the IDF.

The military has cut the number of mashgichim in the IDF, which Tzav1 officials feel is the main reason for the increase in the number of complaints. Tzav1 sent messages via WhatsApp to 50,000 soldiers and parents to warn them.

That message informs recipients that unfortunately, of late, there have been serious deficiencies in kashrus throughout the IDF, most likely due to the cut in the number of mashgichim. Parents and soldiers are asked to send in any information that they may have for Tzav1 to address in this matter.

Organization officials report they are in the process of preparing a properly formatted report which will be presented to the IDF Rabbinate for follow-up.
