An international delegation has traveled to Montenegro to take part in a water rescue training event to prepare for national disaster.
The ZAKA international team headed by Mati Goldstein landed earlier this week for the one-week training exercises which will simulate the rivers of Montenegro flooding large areas of population centers impacting thousands of civilians. Participants in the training event represent 27 different countries.
The Israeli team is represented by ZAKA divers in cooperation with the Israel’s Fire & Rescue Service.
The delegation brought along a half ton of equipment worth hundreds of thousands of shekels including the ZAKA water scooter used to locate missing persons in the water.
