Calls To Cancel The 15th Yahrzeit Event In Knesset For Minister Rechavam Ze’evi HYD In Knesset

1A special 15th yahrzeit event is planned in Knesset on Tuesday, 1 Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan, marking the assassination of the Tourism Minister who was gunned down in the then Jerusalem Hyatt Hotel.

All members of the left-wing Meretz Party have announced they would boycott the event along with a number of MKs from the Machane Tzioni opposition party, Maariv newspaper reports. The annual event has been held since passing it into law in 2005. Meretz has already filed its effort to have this law eliminated.

MKs (Machane Tzioni) Yoel Hasson and Ksenia Svetlova report there have been allegations made against Ze’evi for inappropriate actions towards women and therefore they find it unacceptable to have a Knesset event in his memory. These allegations were revealed in April 2016 by the ‘Uvda’ investigatory program on TV, adding the late minister and retired IDF major-general also maintained ties with the underworld.

The MKs called on Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein to cancel the Knesset event. On Tuesday, an official memorial for Ze’evi will take place at his kever in Har Herzl in Yerushalayim. Among the speaker scheduled to address the special Knesset memorial are Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel.

  1. Meretz Party? ha!

Meretz is the chief supporter of the Arabs in the Knesset. They are haters of anything Jewish. To them, anyone (like Rechavam Ze’evi ) who supported Jewish causes is terrible and should be avoided, chass v’shalom!

Meretz Party is made up of self hating Jews who love to show the world how liberal it can be by loving our enemies and hating anyone who disagrees with their perverted philosophy..

  2. Those MKs are also BUNCH OF SICK DISCUSSING HYPOCRITES!
If it was one of them (who pronab does things MUCH worse) they would try to make it a national Day of remembering closing the ENTIRE COUNTRY
