Some areas could get their first taste of winter Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisory and freezing rain advisory in New York and New Jersey. Wintry weather is expected to hit around 7 a.m. Thursday and continue through the morning.
Sussex County, N.J., is under a freezing rain advisory. There is a winter weather advisory in Northern Warren, Western Greene, Western Ulster, Delaware and Sullivan.
There also will be rain into the evening commute in the New York area.
This morning, snow and rain is expected through the Northeast.
