Police and a parent say a Pennsylvania teacher washed out a 10-year-old boy’s mouth with soap after he argued with another student.
The boy’s mother says it happened Oct. 13 at Camp Curtin Academy.
Police Capt. Gabriel Olivera tells Pennlive.com that the teacher’s actions — even if true — don’t amount to a crime.
Ciara White and her son, Donald Thomas, spoke to WHP-TV. Donald says he doesn’t want to go back to the school while the teacher still works there.
Officials with the Harrisburg School District aren’t speaking about the matter, citing student confidentiality issues. They also won’t say whether the teacher has been disciplined.
Neither police nor school officials have identified the teacher.

Unless he willingly opened his mouth for the soap, she would have had to lay her hands on him and forcefully shove that soap in his mouth.
That is an act of physical aggression towards a child. There is no way this is not a crime.
The teacher should lose her license, the school administrators put on probation and the school district investigated for attempts to diminish the maltreatment of a child.

“…and the kid should be allowed to grow up to be a criminal!”
With that said –
let’s keep in mind that the translation for “…after he argued with another student.” is “… after he got in a fight and started cursing multiple profanities at the other student.”
Let’s not be fooled. Odds are that this kid is not being raised properly at home and is probably a problem in class. I’m not saying I agree with the teacher’s action. However, let’s not kid ourselves to believe that the kid is a sweet little boy that took the brunt of a tyrant. Odds are that the teacher had enough after a prolonged issue with this boy and this incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
