The following update on the condition of two terror victims wounded in the fatal shooting attack in Jerusalem on Sunday, 7 Tishrei, is provided by Hadassah Hospitals spokesperson Hadar Elboim on Monday morning 8 Tishrei.
Two victims remain in Hadassah Hospitals. The first, a female in her 50s, who arrived in moderate condition and this morning, her condition has been upgraded to light. The second, in Mt. Scopus, a 28-year-old policeman who arrived in moderate condition is now reportedly light-to-moderate. They are both conscious and alert.
Killed in the attack were Mrs. Levana Malichi, a former Knesset employee in her 60s, who retired in 2010. She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
Also killed was 29-year-old Yassam commando unit Sgt. Yosef Kirma, a decorated officer who is survived by his wife, parents and siblings.
It was Kirma who was credited last December with preventing a terror attack at a Jerusalem kindergarten, detecting a suspicious male outside, stopping him and confiscating his knife before he could attack. He told police interrogations that he planned an attack.
Both of the victims HY”D were buried on Sunday.
