Authorities involved into the ongoing corruption investigation into the Jerusalem Religious Council announced at the end of last week that two senior officials have been suspended. (Names on file)
The Civil Service Commission has suspended the heads of the council’s mikvaos and kashrus units as the probe continues. Police, the Jerusalem Comptroller and State Comptroller are all involved in the ongoing probe, which has led to removing the two from their current posts.
Criminal indictments are expected against some of those under investigation.
