The terrorist continued driving, firing at the second victim who was in a vehicle, then fleeing towards Shimon HaTzaddik, where the vehicle encountered the motorcycle Yassam commando unit. Needless to say this attack has police concerned coming days ahead of Yom Kippur, a time period in which tens of thousands of Jews from around the world begin arriving in Israel for Sukkos. The area of the attack has been shut down hermetically, and persons in the area may be stuck for hours as police are operating in the area and announce the area will not reopen until new security measures are in place.
