A masked gunman robbed a Cedarhurst gas station Thursday, Nassau County police said.
The gunman, wearing a black neoprene mask that covered the bottom of his face, demanded money from the clerk at the Sunoco station at 360 Rockaway Tpke. at about 8:50 p.m., police said.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled on foot heading northbound on Rockaway Turnpike towards Rugby Road.
The uninjured clerk described the subject as being approximately 30 years old, 5’10” tall and 170-180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, blue latex gloves and a black neoprene mask covering the lower portion of his face.
