Opposition leader MK Yitzchak Herzog has issued adamant statements denying the accuracy of reports that he held secret talks to enter the coalition during Rosh Hashanah. His words were echoed by Machane Tzioni member MK Nachman Shai, who spoke with Kol Chai Radio on Wednesday morning 3 Tishrei explaining the same.

The media reports that talks were held in secret towards persuading Herzog to move over to the coalition and bring a number of defectors with him. However, Herzog insists the reports are not in any way based in reality. Shai added that the small coalition is far more in need of a partner than a large opposition party such as Machane Tzioni.
