Police announced on Wednesday afternoon 18 Elul that it is probing a complaint received from an Arab male, who explained he was assaulted in southern Jerusalem. The report does not specify the date of the attack.
The eastern Jerusalem resident told police that a young man approached him along with a number of friends and assaulted him without provocation. He did not require medical attention. His attackers fled the scene.
Police report that three persons were detained for questioning, one believed to be the main attacker, all Jewish men in their 20s. All three were arraigned and one was released with restrictions while the court extended the remand of the others.
On Wednesday, police add, two additional suspects were arrested in connection with the attack.
