The Moetzas Gedolei Torah of Agudas Yisrael convened on Tuesday 17 Elul to discuss the alarming increase in chilul Shabbos by official state agencies. The weekly Chilul Shabbos by Israel Railways and other state and private agencies and businesses led to the admorim convening to discuss the situation.
In the proclamation released by the torah council the admorim emphasis the importance of Shabbos and the need to safeguard adherence to the holy day and their determination towards realizing this goal. The council instructs its representatives in Knesset to insist on the coalition adhering to and safeguarding the religious status quo.
The admorim indicate they will not tolerate a continuation of the current situation.
The forum then discussed the education system and concerns over increasing efforts by the Education Ministry to involve itself in chareidi education. The council stressed that chareidi education must remain totally independent of any “outside influence”. Any question regarding the chareidi education system will be decided upon by the torah council exclusively.
At this point, there are no reports of Agudas Yisrael giving Prime Minister Netanyahu an ultimatum or that a coalition crisis is going to occur. For now, the admorim appear to have made due with the publication of the proclamation.

What does this mean? They will throw stones against mechalelei shabbos? Or instruct people not to use Israel Railways even on weekdays? It’s not clear from this weather the meeting of the moetzes resulted in anything practical, lmaaseh.
Why are the Moetzas Gedolei Torah not concerned with the treatment of frum soldiers who want to go to shul and daven? There have been several videos of this animalistic behavior but NOT A WORD!!!!
