Three mortar shells landed in northern Israel on Tuesday, 10 Elul, in yet another case of the ongoing civil war in Syria spilling over the border. The latest rocket fire landed near Kibbutz Zivan, which is near Route 98. B’chasdei Hashem there was no loss of life, injuries or property damage.
The rockets on Tuesday landed less than 24 hours after the previous spill over incident, and several hours later, the IAF responded. The air strikes were directed at artillery cannons aligned with the Assad regime.
On Tuesday, the SANA News Agency reported Syria claims to have shot down an IAF fighter plane and drone. The IDF spokesman unit reported that anti-aircraft fire was detected but it was not close to any IDF activity and the SANA agency report was simply untrue.
