Health Minister Yaakov Litzman on Wednesday afternoon 11 Elul arrived at Sheba Medical Center to inquire into the condition of former President Shimon Peres.
In an update received on Wednesday morning, the former President was described in serious/stable condition, adding he did squeeze the hand of one physician when asked to do so.
Inquiries into his well-being were also made by President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Litzman said “There appears to be a little improvement from last night and B’ezras Hashem, I hope that Peres will be back with us”.
As the international community views Peres as a regional peace-maker, the press is already gathered in the lobby of Sheba Medical Center for any eventuality as the doctors continue giving periodic briefings on the condition of the 93-year-old former president who suffered a hemorrhagic stroke.

So, Minister of Health Litzman went to Sheba Hospital just to inquire into the condition of former President Shimon Peres. If that was the real reason why didn’t he simply call up the Medical Director of the hospital. Surely the DG of the Health Ministry has the number. If the real reason was for the photo op, which honestly seems more plausible, who didn’t he get a decent photographer?
He did. The pictures above are from YWN correspondent…
