Assault Case Against Religious Defendants Closed Due To Lack Of Evidence

1This case dates back to 2015 when IDF veteran Tommy Hasson, 22, was allegedly attacked by chareidim who heard him speaking Hebrew. The attack was viewed as a nationalistic crime as the victim was attacked by ten persons outside the Jerusalem Central Bus Station. Hasson required hospitalization for his injuries.

The Jerusalem prosecutor announced the decision to close the case despite its severity amid the awareness the victim, Hasson, cannot identify his alleged attackers so it is clear that it will be most unlikely to get a conviction.
