The IDF has destroyed Kiryat Arba’s Hill 18, Mitzpei Avichai, which was established anew following the murder of Kiryat Arba resident Hallel Ariel HY”D in her home.

The outpost was slated for destruction and the bereaved parents, Mr. & Mrs. Amichai and Rina Ariel fought to prevent the destruction by authorities. In the accompanying video we here a pained Mr. Ariel ask rhetorically just how many more people will have to be murdered until we learn.

IDF soldiers and border police moved in with Civil Administration officials and destroyed the structures on Tuesday 3 Elul.

Ten families were living on the hill and this is not the first time they were ousted by authorities, the latest time returning following the brutal stabbing death of the teen in her bed as she slept.

Kiryat Arba Mayor Malachi Levinger on Tuesday morning stated “We are pained as once again we witness the destruction of Hill 18 by security forces. The hill belongs to Kiryat Arba and we once again demand constructing a neighborhood on the area and expect the Defense Minister to stop the destruction immediately. Kiryat Arba/Hebron have suffered many losses as a result of terror yet remain steadfast and call on all cabinet ministers and MKs who made a shiva visit to the home of Hallel HY”D  to act to establish this new neighborhood – keeping the promise to act to complete building and populating this new area”.
