A four-year-old boy has been diagnosed with measles in Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera. Doctors report the child did not receive a measles vaccination. It is added the symptoms, fever and rash, began while visiting abroad.
Head of the hospital’s infectious diseases unit Dr. Michal Stein is working with Dr. Adi Klein, chief of pediatrics, calling on the public at large to get vaccinated. The child was referred by a local physician and the hospital conducted the required tests to make a definitive determination of measles, then notifying the Ministry of Health as required by law.
The child had a fever which was accompanied by an eye infection and spotting, but he did not require hospitalization and he was sent home to rest and recuperate. Anyone who was in contact with the child, including parents and other family members will receive a vaccination. It is pointed out the child was recently visiting a country where the vaccination rate is low and he contracted it there. In addition, his parents have confirmed he was never vaccinated.
Dr. Klein explains that there are parents who feel the illness is disappeared and therefore, there is no need to vaccinate the children, citing this is simply not so. Dr. Klein explains this exhibits a basic misunderstanding of the illness on the part of parents as children must still be vaccinated in line with Health Ministry recommendations.
Dr. Stein concurs, adding the disease spreads easily and it is important to have family members vaccinated to prevent this. Dr. Stein adds one who has not had measles and is not vaccinated is almost sure to contract it if someone with the illness is in the area.
The doctors explain the responsibility to vaccinate the children rests with parents.

My kids were vaccinated and got the measles anyway . It’s such a benign illness, it’s amazing how people are afraid of it. These childhood illnesses are there for our benefit. Let’s not think we can eradicate something that Hashem put in this world for our good. You can never outsmart Him, so let your kids get the wonderful protection from cancer , by getting the measles! Sorry , can’t outsmart the perfect body by giving the vaccine. but fear sells vaccines, so it’s a good business.
Chance, you are a dangerous fool.Measles killed millions before vaccines were developed.MEASLES CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS.

Ah, so you’re in favor of reintroducing smallpox to the world? You’re in favor of letting people get polio, whooping cough, rubella, cholera and a host of other diseases?

Chance – you may be interested to know that after receiving a vaccine there are some illnesses that can still be caught a second time but it will be very mild as the body has already developed antibodies against it. This is true for chicken pox as well. The only reason it was “benign” is because they were vaccinated.
