Hundreds Of Housing Units Approved In Yehuda And Shomron Including A Nursing Home In Elkana

1The White House was first on line to condemn the Israeli approval of 284 new housing units in Yehuda and Shomron on Wednesday, 27 Menachem Av. Adding to the White House’s disapproval is the Civil Administration decided to retroactively approve other homes retroactively, homes located in Ofarim in the Shomron.

The approval is significant, including a 234-bed nursing home in Elkana, 30 houses in Beit Aryeh and an additional 20 homes in Givat Ze’ev.

“We are deeply concerned by the government’s announcement to advance plans for these settlement units in the West Bank,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said at a news briefing.

“We are particularly troubled by the policy of retroactively approving unauthorized settlement units and outposts that are themselves illegal under Israeli law. These policies have effectively given the Israeli government a green light for the pervasive advancement of settlement activity in a new and potentially unlimited way.”

  1. The Chutzpah of the White House never fails to shake me.
Elkana is not a new “settlement” with makeshift homes and ten families. It is a thriving long well established community with beautiful homes, schools, etc. (not to say that those less established areas aren’t ours either).
The sad part is that the Israeli government, in an effort to appease the nations, considers halting construction.
There will come a day when the nations of the world will push Israel too far, and then they will see the strength of the Jewish Nation, with H’s help.
