Following the quick intervention of Israel Foreign Ministry Director-General Dr. Dore Gold regarding the Brussels Airlines decision to boycott Achva halva products, the airlines has backed down and will continue serving the halva on its flights as it has done in the past.
Bowing to pro-Palestinian pressure, the airline announced it would stop using the Achva product which is manufactured in the “occupied West Bank”. This was met with an angry response from some Israeli ministers and Members of Knesset.
Following the Foreign Ministry’s intervention, a letter was sent to the Israeli Embassy in Brussels explaining the airline is going to continue serving Achva products on its flights as it has done in the past.
