The Jerusalem Magistrate Court has ordered a policeman to pay NIS 13,000 in compensation to a Shomron resident in addition to Israel Police paying him NIS 6,000.
The case occurred six years ago when the policeman who was not in uniform and who refused to identify himself, began attacking a sentry at the community of Neria, a small community in the Binyamin Regional Council district of Shomron.
The guard sued for damages and emerged with a victory in hand as Justice Dorit Feinstein agreed, citing the policeman had no justification whatsoever to begin verbally and physically attacking him.
