The White House says President Barack Obama will travel to Louisiana on Tuesday to survey damage caused by historic flooding that killed at least 13 people and sent thousands to shelters.
Obama has come under heavy criticism from some in Louisiana for continuing his New England vacation while parts of the state suffered after another major natural disaster.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and running mate Mike Pence visited flood victims on Friday.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called Louisiana’s governor on Friday to discuss the situation and said the relief effort “can’t afford any distractions.”
The White House announced Obama’s trip Friday after he was briefed by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who visited Louisiana on Thursday.

The bum in the White House is incapable of being nosain bi’ol. He and that wife of his are TAKERS. They never gave up anything to help others. They are both ingrate’s. Why should that selfish couple be bothered with their suffering brothers and sisters in LA? It’s all about getting their grubby personal pleasures.
In others news, another 10 blacks were gunned down by other blacks on the streets of Chicago. Not a word out of the Obama’s. THEY JUST DON’T CARE!
Some really desperate headline writer and dumb politicians. The state’s head of emergency preparedness says the FEMA and other federal response has been outstanding and they are getting all possible assistance from the federal government. The governor of the state asked the President to defer his visit until next week. Trump runs down for 2 hours for a photo op so he can look “presidential”. Obama made sure the feds were doing what they could but didn’t add to the circus atmosphere that Trump created. The flooding has been the lead item on the news every night this week so they weren’t short of national attention.
He was just waiting for the Louisiana golf courses to dry up.

If you guys really believe Trump flew down to Louisiana to show his “caring”, you are a lot more gullible than even I thought. The guy has never shown an ounce of empathy for the poor or those suffering from natural disasters….he shows up for a photo op and threw a few crumbs and those folks. Maybe “Trump the builder” would send down a few dozen project managers and take on the responsibility for rebuilding a neighborhood or two…
