Rutherford, New Jersey: A new video was released this week by Norman’s Dairy highlighting the demand for kosher yogurt products produced with only natural ingredients. Starring the highly touted Kosher Guru, the video includes a tour of the Norman’s plant, the only exclusive Cholov Yisroel factory in the nation. Norman’s is the recognized leader in innovation and vigilant quality control, so it is not surprising that they are sticklers when it comes to using the most natural ingredients possible.
The video, which can be found on Facebook, YouTube, and at www.normansdairy.com, depicts how the Kosher Guru’s supermarket shopping experience is ruined by his inability to find yogurt without artificial ingredients. Determined to craft his own yogurt made from natural ingredients, he makes his way to the Norman’s factory and goes through the process of creating his own yogurt. The video chronicles the Kosher Guru’s journey from bringing in fresh milk straight from Norman’s very own dairy farm and preparing beet juice to create a natural red coloring perfect for strawberry yogurt, to sealing the finished cups and offering tasters to customers back at the store. At every stage, the video illustrates how Norman’s yogurts are made only from the most natural ingredients, something that is unique to the Cholov Yisroel world.
“At Norman’s, we are committed to making the highest quality yogurt with the most natural ingredients possible,” explained a Norman’s spokesman. “We felt that a video would be the best way to show our customers what the Norman’s brand is all about. We believe that our customers deserve to know what they are eating, and feel confident that Norman’s has their back when it comes to natural ingredients and preservatives.”
Don’t miss Norman’s delightful award-winning Greek yogurt lines including Greek Original, Light, Creamy Blends, and Pro; as well as Low-Fat, 80 Lite, Poppers, and Kiddies all in an extensive range of delectable flavors. Look out for the all new Greek Pro Roast Coffee flavor on supermarket shelves this summer. For further details about all Norman’s delicious products, check out www.normansdairy.com.

Thanks for the commerical.
Now back to our regular programming.
This is deceptive advertising containing a half truth. To be honest this advertisement might say “natural but not organic.” Most consumers do not realize the distinction between natural and organic. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the word “natural” essentially means an absence of artificial ingredients.
For example, “natural milk” probably seems like healthy milk to most people when in fact it is “regular milk” which is typically from cows that are injected with antibiotics despite being healthy and who eat feed, such as corn and soybeans, sprayed with standard pesticides.
This sort of advertising reminds me of Crazy Eddie (the defunct electronics retailer) and Bill Cosby’s Jello commercials. Those were two other guys who used crazeeeee voices but were remarkably dishonest.
By the way, yogurt can be easily made at home in large batches that easily last 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
