A Shabbos Chazonus is planned for Shabbos Nachamu in the Rishon L’Tzion Cultural Center, leading prominent rabbonim in the city to call for its cancelation, fearing it will lead to Chilul Shabbos based on the last one which was held a few years ago.

The pashkavil dates 27 Tammuz is signed first and foremost by the city’s chief rabbi, Rabbi Yehuda David HaLevi Wolpe Shlita. Joining Rav Wolpe are Rabbi Yitzchak Fischer Shlita, Rabbi Gedalyahu Eliyahu Shlita, Rabbi Bentzion Chachmov Shlita, Rabbi Yigal Yosef and Rabbi Moshe Nachshoni Shlita. The rabbonim mentioned represent different neighborhoods in the city.

Rav of the Abramowitz neighborhood of the city, Rabbi Shmuel Toledano Shlita is added explaining he took part in such an event in the past and learned he was unknowingly a partner in Chilul Shabbos and since then, he will no longer be a part of such events, calling on the tzibur not to attend.
