A high voltage power line failed on Monday at about 3:30PM 26 Tammuz, leading to traffic signals in Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan to fail. The outage lasted long enough to create a most difficult afternoon rush hour as tens of thousands of vehicles came to a halt, with traffic signals coming back up at about 5:30PM.
Police were ordered into the streets to man major traffic intersections in an effort to alleviate the rush hour snarl as much as possible.

Oy, Israel without traffic signals – oy a בראך. Driving conditions there among Israeli drivers when is up and running is a nightmare! קל וחומר.
