Police on Monday morning 26 Tammuz report that a vehicle traveling on the Trans-Samaria Highway on Sunday night was found to be carrying four pipe bombs. The vehicle is registered to an Israeli Arab citizen.

Following the discovery, the road in the area was shut down until bomb demolition technicians could arrive at the scene and neutralize the threat.

The driver, a resident of the southern community of Rahat, was detained for questioning by Shai district police.
