A group of 25 American visitors to Israel, 18-year-olds, were transported to Ziff Hospital in Tzfat after showing signs of food poisoning. They were traveling in the Galil area and apparently ingested tainted food, resulting in vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain among some of the group.
Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Farhat Murshad explains were out in the field in the Galil area for two days and the food in question was prepared by an outside source. He added all of the victims were in light and moderate condition, receiving intravenous and oxygen therapy to alleviate their condition.
