Expect heavy heat and humidity to continue as the week begins, with temperatures continuing in the 90s through Thursday.
There is a heat advisory across New York’s boroughs, and in Essex, Union, Hudson, Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex and Burlington counties in New Jersey until Monday at 6 p.m.
Meteorologist Bill Evans says temperatures Monday will reach a high of 94, short of the record of 97 set in 1999. The real feel will be about 100.
There could also be showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon with drenching downpours.
