Rabbi Shalom Arush of mosdos ‘Chut Shel Chessed’ and a talmid muvhak of Rabbi Eliezer Berland announced that “the light has returned”, referring to Rabbi Berland’s return to Israel.
Rav Arush explains “we cannot stop thanking Hashem”, adding “it is the light returning to Eretz Yisrael”.

Actually the author of garden of emunah, which I believe is the best selling Sefer of all time (excluding the bible)

These people truly confuse light with darkness! (Isiah 5:20).
This Berland guy has created an international hillul hashem of astronomical proportions! There is no way to whitewash THIS!
And there is no kapara for hillul hashem!
Even if he is innocent (which I doubt) he is certainly guilty of the gigantic hillul hashem that he caused.
A person like that can in no way be called a tzadik (not even a mench), on the contrary, hillul hashem is one of the worst possible sins – not something that a tzadik would cause.
If he would have been a mensch, he would have returned to Israel on his own accord as soon as he realized what he was causing.
Or maybe he didn’t realize because he is just plain NUTS!
For what he is accused of, the light is just a flicker.
THW should consider keeping this person off the site.
Gedolei Breslov and The Eida have come out against Berland for meeting a predator we need to use our brains here people!!
