Trump Assails Ginsburg Statements About Him; Says ‘Her Mind Is Shot – She Should Resign’

trPresumptive Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump is assailing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a message tweeted late Tuesday.

“Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me,” he posted on @realDonaldTrump.

Ginsburg had said that she felt Trump was unqualified for the position. She said in an interview with The Associated Press last week that she didn’t want to think about the possibility that Trump would be president and predicted that Democrat Hillary Clinton would win.

“Her mind is shot — resign,” Trump demanded in his Twitter message.

Earlier Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that it was “totally inappropriate” for Ginsburg to criticize Trump.

McConnell said that members of the Supreme Court shouldn’t weigh in on American elections.

“It raises a level of skepticism that the American people have from time to time about just how objective the Supreme Court is, whether they’re over there to call the balls and strikes, or weigh in on one side or another,” he said.

  1. The hypocrisy of this clown is beyond belief. The “presumptive” buffoon in chief who suggests a judge is unqualified because of his heritage, who calls for a blatantly unconstitutional “religious test” for entries into the U.S. and who engages in the most vulgar and vile rhetoric in political history is “upset’ that Judge Ginsburg would exercise her first amendment rights?? There were statements about Obama from the late Justice Scalia (who was like Moshe Rabeinu to the Repubicans) that were a lot worse than what Ginsburg said. Justice Thomas’ wife is the head of a blatantly anti-Democratic political organization…..Too bad Trumpy…if you can’t take the heat get our of the kitchen

  2. Justice Ginsberg’s publicly expressing a negative opinion regarding Donald Trump is not only unbecoming for a Supreme Court Justice, but also puts her, potentially, in a “conflict of interest” situation. In 2000 the Supreme Court made the final decision regarding the Florida vote handing the election to George Bush. Justice Ginsberg, in office since 1993, was part of that court, and should know better. Since she has already expressed an opinion about Trump, if the same situation would occur again would she vote on the merits of the case presented then, or would she follow her own publicly-expressed negative opinion? No doubt about it….she is very far from even a feigned appearance of impartiality and should resign.
