Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Sunday 4 Tammuz instructed Israel Police to launch an investigation into Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and persons connected with him. The AG in his announced called the probe a “preliminary” one, citing it is not a criminal investigation.
In the statement released by Mandelblit’s office it stated there has been much inaccurate information released of late vis-à-vis PM Netanyahu and investigations against him, stating at present, he cannot discuss details.
Latest reports signal the investigation has to do with alleged money laundering by the Prime Minister or a family member.
