Shin Bet agents working with IDF and police units during the night of 5 Tammuz (Sunday night to Monday) raided a weapons manufacturing operation in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Orif near Shechem. Weapons manufactured on the premises were confiscated along with ammunition, a lathe and other items used in the manufacture of weapons.

Among the weapons recovered were an M-16 and Karl Gustav assault rifle as well as a replication of an Uzi sub machinegun.

A number of suspects were taken into custody including four family members, residents of the village, ranging in age from 24 to 46.

1. Assem Najah Sharif Tzfadi, born in 1977, resident of Urif, active in the Palestinian Authority security services (General Intelligence);

2. Ali Najah Sharif Tzfadi, born in 1975, resident of Urif, active in the Palestinian Authority security services (General Intelligence);

3. Saadi Najah Sharif Tzfadi, born in 1975, resident of Urif;

4. Najah Assad Najah Tzfadi, born in 1992, resident of Urif.
