A lawsuit in the amount of NIS 6,912 was filed against two Arabs who threw rocks at the Jerusalem light rail. The sum is sufficient to replace the window broken in the attack.

The lawsuit filed by the state is the new line being used against light rail attackers, hoping that having to pay damages for their actions will serve as a deterrent in addition to recouping the losses incurred in constantly repairing damage to light rail cars from such attacks.

Rock attacks against the light rail have become all too frequent, including the total destruction of stations like the one in the Beit Haninah area of the capital.
